Mandell, Boisclair & Mandell Partner With 6th IB Day of Action
Imagine suffering a catastrophic injury in an accident. In the blink of an eye, life as you know it would change. You may find yourself struggling with chronic pain and permanent disability. You might be unable to perform even the most routine of tasks.
Unfortunately, for many individuals, this scenario becomes a reality. After a serious and catastrophic accident, injured accident victims often find themselves unable to turn on lights or turn up the heat in their homes. When disabilities interfere with independent living, accident victims may struggle even harder to regain their life after an accident.
That is why the IB Day of Action was created. This year’s IB Day of Action has one main purpose: to help those who suffered catastrophic injury gain independence through technological assistance. This November, over 50 law firms across the community came together to outfit those in need with voice-activated or simple touch devices they could use to regain their quality of life.
Proud to Partner with IB Day of Action
For the sixth year in a row, Mandell, Boisclair & Mandell has partnered with the Injury Board to make a direct impact on our community. We were proud participants in the IB Day of Action and provided voice automated and simple touch devices to injured accident victims in our local community.
Our firm donated home automation systems to facilities that help therapists and medical professionals prepare patients for life at home once they are discharged. Some of those items included Echo Dots, smart light bulbs, smart plugs, and Amazon Firesticks. These items help individuals learn how to turn on the lights, control the TV, and turn off various devices in their homes easily. This can help them adapt to their new normal quicker and regain some of the independence and freedom they enjoyed prior to their accident.
About the Injury Board
The Injury Board is a group of professional trial attorneys. This group uses its considerable resources and talents to give back to the community through grassroots organizations. Only the top, leading attorneys are members, and over 90 percent of those members currently hold or have held leadership positions in their community trial associations. IB members work with countless charities and organizations within their own communities to help the disadvantaged and injured among them.
